NBGA 50TH ANNIVERSARY MERIT AWARD

(ONE AWARD OF $1,000)

Award Criteria:

• A minimum 75% average upon graduation from grade 12.
• Successful competitive experience at the Club, Regional, Provincial and/or National level in golf.
• Participation in extracurricular and/or community activities.

Award Policies:

• A university Entrance Merit award is not renewable.
• Any award is contingent upon an applicant being accepted at a recognized University of his/her choice.
• Consideration will be given to the applicants who are High School graduates (or about to graduate) at the time of the application, provided all other terms of the award have been met.
• Candidates will be judged on the basis of substantiated information contained in their application and support material.  Applicants may be asked to appear before the Merit Award Committee.

High School Students:

• The principal's Evaluation Report must be completed by the High School Principal and returned by him/her to:  NB Golf Association Merit Award Committee; PO Box 1555, Station A, Fredericton, NB  E3B 5G2.
• Three letters of reccommendation are required to support the application.  Letters must be sent to the Merit Awards Committee by each of the following:
  • President of Home Club
  • NBGA Director of Home Club
  • High School Teacher
