INSTRUCTION PROGRAMS

The instructions are a 4 level program.

  • Level I offers the basics of golf, history and etiquette.  Also, how to hold a club, preliminaries on the swing, and understanding the game of golf.
  • Level II & III is a more advanced version on the swing and the game
  • Level IV get into more advanced lessons

Level I is what we would like to see in schools.  If programs grow, we could investigate how to deal with further levels for selected students in select facilities or at golf clubs (making it happen).

LEVEL I INSTRUCTION

No cost to the school.  Meaning, we would provide the following:

1.  Material (manuals for instructor and students)

a.  Instructor guide for each teacher (including lesson plans)

b.  Instructor guide for the student (re-useable).  This guide provides a background on golf.  ** It is important that on the application form we provide to each teacher that you mark how many students will be in the class

c.  Easy to learn Rules books.  Please be advised that there are many professional golfers in the community that would be happy to help (contact local club or NBGA for names)

2.  Borrowed clubs and balls (if school has none).  It is recommended for 20 kids (reference information in the back of instructor manual).  We have a set of clubs that can be provided along with balls.

3.  Certificate for successful students.  These will be provided to the school to fill out and distribute.  We ask that we receive a list of successful students for our records.

NOTE:  We do not provide people to come into the schools to teach golf.

PROCEDURE FOR BOOKING

After consulting with many teachers, it was determined that the program would run more successfully in 3 week time slots.  This will provide enough time to transport the material between schools and fit the program into current curriculum patterns.

The program is run in 5 one hour sessions.  Therefore, depending on how schools run classes, do so accordingly.

When a school books a program, more than one class can take part during the 3 week period.  It is important to identify how many classes will take part and what number of students will be in each class.
