Future Legends Program

FUTURE LEGENDS PROGRAM


The Royal Canadian Golf Association (RCGA) will underwrite the cost of Professional instruction in the amount of $100.00 per girl, to a maximum of $800.00 per province.  If the fee is more than $100.00, further funds should come from the player or sponsors.

Players are to be selected by the NB Junior Chair and Assistant Junior Chair, on the following basis:

  1. Juvenile and Midget age only (have not reached their 17th birthday by August 8, 2009).
  2. Participation in RCGA events in the 2008 season - NB Junior Championship and team trials; Atlantic Inter-provincials, Canadian Junior Championship; Provincial area field days; and RCGA Club Pin days.
  3. Reduction in handicap from the 2007 to 2008 season.
  4. Commitment of the player to practice regularly, daily if possible.

Instruction to be given by Professional of player's choice.  Sessions to be held regularly throughout the season.  Sessions to include refinement of player's game and practice assignments.

Proceedure:

  1. Players who are selected will be notified as early in the season as possible.
  2. Players to notify NB Junior Chair of the professional of their choice.
  3. NB Junior Chair to contact Professional regarding concept of the Program and fee.
  4. Professional to submit an evaluation to the NBGA at the end of the sessions.
  5. NBGA to submit expenses and report to the National Junior Director at the end of the season.
