BMO NESBITT BURNS (MONCTON) NB LADIES PLAYER OF THE YEAR - GUIDELINES 1. The competition is open to all female amateur golfers who are 2010 members of an NBGA member club. In order to qualify for the final rankings, entrants must compete in the Royale NB Ladies Amateur Championship. 2. Qualifying events for the Competition will be all Field Days listed by the NBGA by the end of the spring Board of Directors meeting. A field day on the rota will count whether it is on a 9-hole or 18-hole course, provided it meets the following conditions:
3. Points will be scored toward the competition as follows:
In the event of a tie, for other than first place, in a qualifying tournament, points for the positions tied will be shared by the tying competitors, and calculated to the nearest quarter, third or half point. 4. There is no minimum or maximum limit on the number of events which may be entered by a competitor. 5. In the event of a tie for the Competition or any place in the final rankings, the NB Ladies Amateur Championship results shall be used to break the tie. If ties still exist between two or more competitors, the player with the best ranking prior to the final qualifying event will prevail, then the second final event, and so on. 6. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in the Competition. Results will be collected and tabulated by the NBGA and published monthly and put on the web site. The final rankings will be announced following the final event. The winner will be designated the "BMO NESBITT BURNS (MONCTON) NB LADIES PLAYER OF THE YEAR." Prizes will be awarded at the Louisbourg Investments Awards Dinner, to be held in October at the Gowan Brae Golf Club in Bathurst, NB. 7. If a qualifying event is reduced to 9 holes, one half of the points normally allocated for an 18 hole championship will be awarded. (It must be noted that when a shotgun start is employed, and play is reduced to 9 holes, no points will be awarded because all players will not have played the same holes). 9. It is the total responsibility of individual competitors to secure entry to qualifying events including the NB Ladies Provincial Championship. The NBGA will not be responsible for the failure of any competitor to submit their entry in sufficient time to compete in specific events.
